Abstract

This paper describes the evolution of ideas on confl ict issues. When the conflict paradigm was beginning to form, the ideas on positive functions of confl icts also were beginning to develop, which are being replaced by principles of social consensus and social cooperation. Psychology should make an important contribution to development of ideas of cooperation, its theoretical and practical possibilities present significant resource for Russian confl ict resolution theory.
