Epidemiological Method in Psychology

Abstract

This paper presents a brief description of the history and modern state of the epidemiological approach to the study of human behavior. The strengths and weaknesses of the epidemiological method are explored, criteria for the assessment of quality of epidemiological research of behavior are presented and the perspectives of mutual enrichment of psychology and epidemiology are discussed.
