Аннотация

In this paper, we describe the results of a study (N = 16, aged 19 to 39), which aimed to test the hypothesis about the correlation between the level of psychometric IQ (measured with J. Raven’s SPMT) and the level of conceptual abilities. Th e main finding of this study was that psychometric IQ shows a lack of correlation with conceptual abilities in experts who face cognitive challenges on a daily basis and manifest real-life intellectual productivity. This leads to the necessity of revising the existing approaches to understanding intellectual productivity and its measurement.
