Formation and development of educational psychology
Abstract
The article reveals the origin and peculiarities of educational psychology in the course of its formation as an integral field of scientific psychological knowledge. Interdisciplinary character of the educational psychology development is described, revealing its connection to pedagogical psychology and developmental psychology, social psychology and counseling psychology, pedagogy and philosophy of education. The purpose of educational psychology is specified and its tasks are defined. In addition, it presents an attempt to determine the problem-subject field of research. The practical aspect of psychology in education is emphasized and characterized.
